We are excited to introduce you to our new Practitioner of Oriental Medicine & Acupuncturist, Dr. Francine Choren! Her first day is February 22nd. A licensed acupuncturist and Nationally Certified Herbalist, she will be available for Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) appointments.
Dr. Francine Choren earned her BS in Human Physiology at the University of Oregon. As a McNair’s Scholar, she practiced under the mentorship of renowned experts in the field of Motor Control, Marjorie Woollacott PhD and Sandy Saavedra PT, PhD. She pioneered neurological assessment techniques and published her groundbreaking research on human development control.
Continuing her passion for helping others, Francine earned her Doctorate degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at the Pacific College of Health and Science. As a integrative provider, she worked at community clinics and worked with ailments including infertility, cold and flu, orthopedic injury, depression, pain, and stress management.
Originally from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, she is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French. Francine is a second generation acupuncturist. Her father, also an acupuncturist, and mother, a healthcare professional, have shared over a decade of wellness experience with her. While she works with all types of conditions, she focuses on women’s health, mental health, stress management, and sports injuries.
